Hi, my name is Kitmar. What do they say about me?
Kitmar is an owner's edition of a well-known Bavaria 37, built in 2001, with teak deck and extended keel. In comparison to traditional charter boats Kitmar has just 2 cabins, but her big advantage over them is her large heads and a „wet locker“ where soaked crew can dry their wet clothes. Stern cabin which extends beyond the engine is also more spacious then usual. Altogether Kitmar offers comfortable sleeping space for 6 people. She is motorized by a diesel Volvo Penta 29hp. In mast reefing for mainsail and furling for frontsail allow to steer a boat singlehanded. Electric anchor windlass can be controlled from the cockpit as well. A large chartplotter, autopilot, radar and VHF / DSC. The boat has a dinghy with 2.5hp engine and a liferaft for 6 persons. A newish sprayhood protects the crew against bad weather and bimini from the sun.
Previous owners – an elderly British couple – had Kitmar moored in Spain on Costa Brava until 2013. At 2014 she was bought by the current owner who sailed her to Scotland. She was never chartered before 2015 and both owners took exemplary care of her, so she is in a exceptionally good condition.
Currently (Spring 2019) she is moored in Largs and works „part-time“ for the 1st ScotSail Training Ltd. and now for Go West Sailing. She is used for islands cruises, charter and occasionally RYA courses take place on her board.
Kitmar is offered for bareboat charter or skippered charter.
